Migrate from weDocs
Move supported weDocs content with DocToucan Pro, then review the Drafts before publishing.
Before you start
Pro required. These migration tools are part of DocToucan Pro. Begin with a backup and a staging copy of your site, and keep the source plugin active during discovery and import.
For weDocs, confirm that the detected docs post type belongs to weDocs before continuing.
Preview and import your content
- Open DocToucan → Migrations and run discovery for your source.
- Review the bounded preview, mapped fields and every warning before importing.
- Import as Draft. Check the content, file sources, hierarchy, ordering and supported categories/tags.
- Verify reader actions and access assumptions. Publish only when the reviewed result is correct.
What transfers
Conventional documentation posts, parent/child hierarchy and supported taxonomy metadata.
What to check before switching
Theme/template behavior and unsupported custom integrations remain explicit post-import review items.
Do not assume that source templates, public URLs, access settings or custom integrations transfer automatically. Review the job report and check representative pages as a visitor.
Source safety: DocToucan does not update or delete the source plugin data. Guarded rollback affects only unchanged Draft Documents created by the selected job. Reruns use source keys to avoid creating duplicate imports.
