WPGO Plugins uses the minimum information reasonably needed to operate this website, deliver and support its products, maintain licences and retained customer accounts, keep those services secure, and meet legal obligations.
Who handles your information
WPGO Plugins is responsible for information it uses to operate this site, deliver and support plugins, maintain licences and retained customer accounts, and protect those services.
For new purchases, Freemius is the Merchant of Record. Freemius operates checkout and the customer portal and handles payment, tax, invoices, subscription management, and related transaction records. WPGO Plugins does not receive or store complete payment-card details.
Existing FastSpring customers keep their original FastSpring billing relationship. WPGO retains limited account, licence, and entitlement records needed to support those purchases while the legacy service remains in use.
Information we use
- Contact details and the contents of an enquiry or support request.
- Plugin, licence, activation, update, download, and support-entitlement data.
- Customer account profile and retained purchase-history information.
- Order, subscription, invoice, refund, and transaction status supplied by Freemius or FastSpring.
- Technical details such as IP address, browser or user agent, requested URL, timestamp, response status, and security-event information.
- A session-only product slug used to keep the same homepage feature during one browser session.
Do not send passwords, one-time codes, complete licence keys, payment-card data, private keys, customer exports, or unredacted database backups through a public form or ordinary email.
Why we use it
- Take requested steps before purchase and provide the plugin, licence, update, download, and support contract.
- Answer enquiries and diagnose product or delivery problems.
- Maintain the limited legacy entitlement bridge.
- Secure customer accounts, plugins, and infrastructure and prevent abuse.
- Meet accounting, tax, refund, dispute, and other legal requirements.
- Send optional marketing only where there is valid consent or another applicable lawful basis.
The applicable legal bases are normally contract or requested pre-contract steps, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, legal obligation, and consent where required. Access to a purchase, download, or support is not conditional on optional marketing consent.
Providers, disclosures, and international transfers
Information may be handled by providers that supply hosting, email, DNS, caching, firewall, security, payment, tax, fraud prevention, customer-portal, licensing, and professional services. Important commerce providers include Freemius for new purchases and FastSpring for retained legacy billing.
WPGO does not sell customer information. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, or to an appropriately authorised provider under suitable confidentiality and security terms.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where data-protection law requires a transfer safeguard, the relevant provider or WPGO Plugins uses an applicable adequacy decision, contractual safeguard, or other lawful mechanism. Contact WPGO for information about a transfer relevant to you.
How long we keep information
Information is deleted sooner when it is no longer needed. Unless a legal claim, regulatory requirement, security incident, or unresolved request requires longer retention, the operational maximums are:
| Record | Normal maximum |
|---|---|
| General or pre-sales correspondence | 12 months after the last meaningful contact |
| Product support case and supplied diagnostics | 24 months after closure |
| Security incident evidence | 36 months after closure |
| Web and security logs controlled by WPGO | 90 days |
| Account profile | While the account or retained entitlement is needed, then reviewed |
| Purchase, invoice, refund, tax, and dispute evidence | Up to 7 years after the relevant transaction or financial period |
| Licence, activation, update, and protected-download records | Entitlement life plus 24 months |
| Restricted legacy-migration crosswalk | Until migration acceptance, then up to 24 months |
Backups may retain a protected copy until scheduled expiry. Deletion from active systems does not necessarily remove an item immediately from an access-restricted recovery backup.
A focused site, not an advertising network
Cookies and browser storage
The redesigned WPGO site does not load the previous Google Analytics tag and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking. Freemius checkout and the customer portal load only when a visitor opens a configured purchase or account surface.
| Technology | Purpose | Duration or control |
|---|---|---|
wpgo-featured-plugin in sessionStorage | Keeps ChartQuill or Simple Sitemap as the same homepage feature during one browser session. | Contains only a product slug and normally ends with the browser session. |
| WordPress authentication cookies | Maintain an authenticated session and protect requested account or administration functions. | Used when a person signs in; controlled through sign-out and browser settings. |
| Security and cache storage | Protect the site, detect abuse, deliver requested pages, and diagnose faults. | Duration depends on the strictly necessary security or delivery purpose. |
| Freemius checkout and portal storage | Provide checkout or an account area, prevent fraud, and complete purchase, licensing, billing, and support functions. | Used on configured commerce and account surfaces under Freemius’s information and controls. |
The homepage value is not used to build a profile, infer interests, advertise, or follow a visitor across websites. Blocking strictly necessary login, security, checkout, or account storage may prevent the requested function from working.
If optional analytics, marketing, embedded media, or another non-essential technology is introduced later, it will be assessed before use. This notice and, where required, a consent or objection control will be updated first.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a regulator. These rights can have lawful limits, for example where a record must be kept for tax, security, or legal claims.
Send a request to hello@wpgoplugins.com. WPGO may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request concerns you. UK users may also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security and changes
WPGO uses proportionate access controls, updates, backups, encrypted transport, and operational monitoring. No internet service can promise absolute security.
This notice will be updated when a material purpose, provider, or practice changes and will show a revised effective date. Important privacy information may also be shown next to a form or checkout where it is most useful.
