Content Censor 3.2.3 gives Free and Pro users a clearer place to start in WordPress. The update adds Home and New Features pages, confirmation before resetting settings, and a support summary you can copy without including your saved rules or licence details. Pro also handles comment-heavy scan results in smaller batches.
The filtering model hasn’t changed: configured words are replaced in selected public output while the original posts, pages and comments remain stored in WordPress.
A new starting point in Free and Pro
Open Content Censor in the WordPress admin menu to reach Home. You’ll find a quick start and links to the documentation. Open Content Censor → Settings to edit the word list, choose matching rules and select the public areas to filter.
The new New Features page keeps recent changes close to the controls they affect. Existing bookmarks to the older Settings page redirect to the current location.

Reset confirmation and a safer support summary
Resetting a working rule set deserves a deliberate decision. Content Censor now asks for confirmation before resetting its settings.
If you need help, Home includes a copyable support summary. It reports useful environment details without including stored content, the saved word list, site addresses or licence details. You can add a short, anonymised example separately when describing a filtering problem.
Pro scans work through large comment threads
Content Censor Pro already included a scanner for matches in published content and approved comments. In 3.2.3, comment-heavy content is processed in bounded comment batches, with progress retained between requests. A post with matches across several batches appears once in the results.
The scan remains a review tool. It doesn’t rewrite a post or approve, delete or edit a comment. Use its results to check your rules and investigate matches before widening public filtering.
What remains in Free, and what needs Pro?
The Free edition includes the word list, delimiters, whole-word or embedded matching, case handling, masking styles, supported public output controls and post or page exclusions. The new Home, New Features, reset confirmation and support-summary controls are available in both editions.

Pro adds the site scanner, browser-title filtering, supported BuddyPress output and custom WordPress filter hooks. Those Pro capabilities haven’t become Free features in this update.
Update and check one representative page
Free 3.2.3 is available from WordPress.org. Pro 3.2.3 is available through Freemius to eligible licence holders. After updating, open Settings, check your saved rules, then review a representative public page while signed out. Your original text should remain unchanged in the editor.
See the Content Censor guide for configuration details, or compare editions on the Content Censor product page.
